- Conditions and diagnostic tools
- Use Honda HDS and the service-manual procedure. Check MIL history, ignition timing, plugs, air filter and PCV condition first. With the parking brake applied and transmission in neutral, warm the engine as specified and check 900 ± 50 rpm under the prescribed unloaded and electrical-load conditions. Apply only loads fitted to this car; CR equipment can omit A/C and the rear defogger. Reconnect the EVAP purge connector after the test. If outside specification, follow the idle-learn and diagnostic procedure before selecting repair parts.
