Engine coolant
Check the reservoir level with the engine cold and investigate repeated coolant loss. Coolant type and replacement procedure matter as much as capacity.

Configuration-specific service and fitment facts
These sourced values are shared by the specification sheet and the maintenance guides for this exact configuration.
- Coolant specification
- Honda All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2, premixed 50/50 Verified
- Cooling-system precautions
- Never open a hot pressurized cooling system. A total-system capacity is not necessarily the amount that drains during a routine change; follow the engine-specific bleeding procedure.
- Schedule applicability
- Use the severe schedule when driving mainly on trips under 5 miles (under 10 miles in freezing weather), above 90°F/32°C, in extensive idling or stop-and-go use, with a roof rack or on mountain roads, or on muddy, dusty or de-iced roads. Occasional severe use follows the normal schedule. U.S. schedules only.
- Service conditions
- Check only when cool. Use the supplied 50/50 Type 2 premix without adding straight antifreeze or water. Coupe and sedan refill amounts differ; no numeric quantity is assigned.
