Configuration-specific service and fitment facts

These sourced values are shared by the specification sheet and the maintenance guides for this exact configuration.

Engine oil viscosity
SAE 0W-20 Verified
Engine oil refill with filter
4.2 US qt VerifiedOwner-manual reference for this exact powertrain. Follow the level-check procedure; a maintenance refill is different from a dry-system fill or shopping quantity.
Engine oil refill without filter
3.9 US qt VerifiedOwner-manual reference for this exact powertrain. Follow the level-check procedure; a maintenance refill is different from a dry-system fill or shopping quantity.
Automatic transmission drain and refill
2.6 US qt VerifiedHonda lists a change capacity. Have a dealer check the level and replace the fluid; the owner procedure explicitly advises against checking/changing it yourself.
Engine coolant capacity
5.9 US qt VerifiedThis reference includes 0.71 L left in the reserve tank. It is not a measured drain volume, a quantity to pour in, or a package count; do not subtract or reinterpret the source condition.
Spark plug specification
NGK DILZKAR7G11Y Verified
Minimum fuel octane
Unleaded gasoline, pump octane (AKI) 87 or higher Verified
US washer-fluid reservoir capacity
1.6 US qt VerifiedUS reservoir reference only; the Canadian 4.5 L value is not applied.
A/C refrigerant type
HFO-1234yf (R-1234yf) VerifiedOEM charge range is 435–485 g; confirm the vehicle label. Compressor oil is ND-OIL 11 (POE), 120–135 cm³. These system references do not establish a DIY service/purchase quantity.
Engine oil specification
Honda Genuine Motor Oil, or API SN or higher fuel-efficient oil with the API Starburst certification mark; use the specified SAE 0W-20 grade. Verified
Oil drain plug torque
30 lb-ft VerifiedFit a new drain-bolt washer. Follow the oil filter manufacturer’s tightening instructions; 40 N·m is the drain bolt value, not the filter torque.
Automatic transmission fluid
Honda HEVF-Type 1 Verified
Coolant specification
Honda Long-Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2, premixed 50/50 VerifiedDo not add straight antifreeze or water to the premixed coolant.
Brake fluid
Honda Heavy Duty Brake Fluid DOT 3 VerifiedDOT 3 or DOT 4 from a sealed container is only a temporary substitute; Honda directs restoration of the specified fluid as soon as possible. DOT 5 is incompatible.
Original tire pressure, rear
32 psi VerifiedCold pressure for the source-listed original tires; confirm the installed tire size and driver-doorjamb placard.
Original tire load and speed specification
225/50R17 94V: front 33 psi (230 kPa), rear 32 psi (220 kPa). 235/40R19 96V: front 35 psi (240 kPa), rear 32 psi (220 kPa). The installed tire-size/doorjamb label selects the branch; no EPA trim is inferred. Verified
Low-beam lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
High-beam lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
Front turn-signal lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
Rear turn-signal lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
Brake lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
Reverse lamp
LED VerifiedSource lists an LED lamp, not a replaceable halogen bulb size or a service part number.
Oil filter applications
WIX 57356 VerifiedManufacturer-listed aftermarket replacement option; not the Honda original part number.
Driver-side front blade application
Bosch EVO24 Verified
Passenger-side front blade application
Bosch EVO17 Verified
Engine air filter application
K&N 33-5145 VerifiedManufacturer-listed aftermarket replacement filter option for the specified powertrain; not a Honda original part number.
Cabin filter application
K&N VF2033 VerifiedK&N washable replacement option. This evidence establishes application, not cleaning-fluid quantity, maintenance-kit contents or package count.
Honda original engine air-filter application
Honda 17220-6MA-J01 VerifiedDealer-listed Honda original alternative, kept separate from the K&N aftermarket application. Confirm the exact installed vehicle/VIN before ordering.
Engine oil drain washer
Honda 94109-14000 VerifiedDealer card specifies the 14 mm engine-oil drain-plug washer. It does not establish the quantity in a merchant package, transmission-washer fitment or other drain hardware.
Front wheel
EX-L: 17 × 7.5J; Sport / Sport-L / Touring: 19 × 8.5J alloy VerifiedThe factory 17-inch and 19-inch applications are listed conditionally; confirm the vehicle's wheel/tire marking and trim before purchasing replacements.

01

Engine oil and filter

Code A replaces engine oil only; code B replaces engine oil and filter. Switch the hybrid power system fully off before the oil/filter change. Use the exact 0W-20 oil and this engine’s with-filter or without-filter reference. Install a new drain washer, follow the filter instructions, check for leaks, stop the engine and wait 3 minutes before checking the dipstick.

02

12-volt battery

The battery monitor is on the negative terminal. A sensor warning requires dealer inspection. This inspection guidance does not identify a replacement battery group or CCA rating; the high-voltage hybrid battery is a separate system.

Verified
03

Brake fluid and inspection

Use Honda Heavy Duty DOT 3. A level at or below MIN requires dealer inspection for leakage or worn pads; do not hide the cause with a top-up. No flush volume or bottle count is established here.

Verified
05

Engine air filter

Replace the engine air cleaner for the installed powertrain. The 1.5 L turbo and 2.0 L hybrid use independently verified applications; do not assume one filter fits both.

Verified
06

Engine coolant

Use Honda Type 2 premix. Check the reserve tank first with the engine and radiator cool. The owner capacity includes 0.71 L already remaining in the reserve tank, so do not treat it as the amount to add.

Verified
07

Hybrid transmission fluid

Use only the exact Honda HEVF-Type 1 hybrid fluid; Honda DW-1 and HCF-2 are not this application. Honda instructs owners to have the dealer check/replace the fluid, and not to check/change it themselves.

Verified
08

Lights and fuses

The owner specification lists LED low/high beams, turn signals, brake and reverse lights. Honda assigns headlight-assembly inspection/replacement to an authorized dealer; do not substitute a generic halogen bulb. Exact fuse amperages and LED service-part numbers remain unverified here.

Verified
09

Scheduled chassis and owner inspections

Code B covers front/rear brakes, steering/tie rods, suspension and driveshaft boots, brake lines, fluid levels/condition, exhaust, fuel lines/connections. Also check the tire-repair-kit bottle expiration.

Verified
10

Spark plugs

Use the exact NGK plug listed for this powertrain. The hybrid schedule lists plug replacement; it does not add the petrol model’s valve-clearance inspection.

Verified
11

Tire rotation

Rotate the tires when code 1 appears. Confirm the installed size and doorjamb cold-pressure label; follow the source-listed tire-size pressure branch.

Verified
12

Wiper blades and washer fluid

Deteriorated rubber can streak, make noise and allow hard blade surfaces to scratch the glass. Use the separately verified driver/passenger application and attachment; blade length alone does not establish fit.
